The Details, Without the Fluff
Let’s talk about what it can actually do. It runs on 230V or 400V, so it fits right into most plant power setups. You get a power range of 1500W to 2500W, which is all about packing heat into a tight space. The heater itself is just 300mm long and 10mm across, so it zeroes in on a specific spot. That’s great for matching the heat to the part you’re working on. But here’s the thing about that tight focus: it’s efficient, but it also means the area around the spot gets hot. So, plan for airflow and some shielding.
What It’s Made Of
The halogen tech inside is the workhorse. It keeps the filament steady even when it’s cranked up to high temperatures, so the heat stays consistent over time. The quartz tube is built for the shock of being switched on and off constantly. And the halogen cycle inside does a neat trick: it reduces the blackening that can dim the output over time. For the connection, we went with an R7s connector. It’s a direct, solid contact that handles the current and makes wiring in tight spots a lot easier. The tube coating is there to cut down on glare and keep the quartz protected from the environment.
